Hey, PushBlack family! Today, we’re celebrating Millie Jackson’s Birthday. Jackson’s raw lyrics and demeanor helped pave the way for the rise of rap and hip hop a decade later. She’s well known for her reprisal of If Loving You Is Wrong, I Don’t Want To Be Right. In honor of the outspoken R&B singer known as the Godmother of Rap, we will be exploring some of the long forgotten beefs of R&B. The feud was finally resolved in 2005 when Oprah seated the two divas at the same table during a Legends Luncheon. Watch this two-minute video about the feud.
