Solange recently dropped her new album, entitled “A Seat at the Table.” The album, which reflects not only on trauma, but also Black joy, is giving the community much needed love and self-care that we need.
Solange has dropped two visuals for the album: Don’t Touch My Hair as well as Cranes in the Sky.
Don’t Touch My Hair is an ode to all the Black folks who’ve had their hair policed. The visuals encourage Black folks to love their hair for how it is.
Cranes in the Sky provides beautiful visuals, and discusses Solange running her credit card up, or buying a new dress in order to make herself feel better on a hard day.
