Dr. Dre has Threatened Legal Action Over Michel’le’s Biopic

90’s R&B singer Michel’le, whose biopic Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le premieres October 15th on Lifetime, may have some upcoming legal battles. Dr. Dre, Michele’s ex-fiance and founder of Aftermath Records, sent a cease and desist letter to Sony threatening to sue upon the film’s release.

The film details the alleged abuse Michel’le faced while dating Dr. Dre. While Dr. Dre has apologized for his abuse of other women in the past, he maintains that he never abused Michel’le, stating that the singer has only spoken about the issue since last year’s release of N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton.

However, Michel’le has spoken about the alleged abuse she faced with Dr. Dre as early as 2013 during her stint on TV One’s R&B Divas LA.
